PCCN & CCRN Course Descriptions
These courses are recommended for RNs desiring to take the PCCN or CCRN examination offered by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). Each 2-day review course covers a broad range of nursing practice principles based on the Synergy Model. Test-Taking Strategies are emphasized throughout the courses.
PCCN Course Participants will:
1.Demonstrate critical thinking skills necessary to successfully complete the PCCN exam.
2.Describe nursing interventions for clinical problems encountered in PCU.
3.Analyze and answer practice test questions related to all body systems.
4.Describe patient assessment and evaluate treatment goals for patients cared for in PCU.
5.Utilize the synergy model in optimizing patient outcomes.
6.Practice test-taking strategies by using the provided study guide.
CCRN Course Participants will:
1.Demonstrate critical thinking skills necessary to successfully complete the CCRN exam.
2.Describe nursing interventions for clinical problems encountered in ICU.
3.Analyze and answer practice test questions related to all body systems.
4.Describe patient assessment and evaluate treatment goals for patients cared for in ICU.
5.Utilize the synergy model in optimizing patient outcomes.
6.Practice test-taking strategies by using the provided study guide.
Course Study Guide
Each participant receives a comprehensive study guide created by CertifiedRN to enhance memory and learning with over 150 practice questions. The study guide will augment the material presented in the class.
Course Cost and Certification Information
The course cost is 275 dollars. If you are an employee of a sponsoring hospital the cost of the course is 250 dollars. If you are not an employee of a sponsoring hospital, you can organize a group of three or more and receive a group discount 250 dollars per person. These classes are approved by California Board of Registered Nursing #15979 for 16 Continuing Education Hours. Receipt and CEUs (Continuing Education Hours) will be provided after course completion.
